Why I live in Oregon

I moved from Virginia to Portland nine years ago, soon after graduating college.  Three months of the year Oregon is the most beautiful place in the world.  The other nine its gray and wet and dreary.  Sometimes I don't think I'll last another winter, but then late spring rolls around and the skies clear up to a bright blue and it's like heaven.  Yesterday was one of those glorious days and we spent it at the coast.  It was exactly what I needed after spending the previous day in the Convention Center under florescent lights for eight hours for Crafty Wonderland.

Manhattan Beach.  Gorgeous!
